Teavotion Knitting Circle

Wed September 16, 2015
11am-2pm

Marg Lanne & Maryanne Noonan, organisers of Bundoora Homestead Art Centre’s biennial tea cosy exhibition will facilitate a free monthly informal ‘drop-in’ knitting circle at the Bundoora Homestead Art Centre throughout 2015.

Crafters are welcome to join the knitting group at any time to create and donate individual tea cosies or participate in the ongoing giant tea cosy and yarn bombing projects which will feature as part of the biennial tea cosy exhibition, Teavotion. The Exhibition will be held at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre from 24 February to 3 April, 2016 as a fundraiser in support of the Australian Red Cross.

The knitting circle is a great way to demonstrate your imagination and passion, meet other crafters, have some fun, and support a very worthy charitable organisation.

Northcote Art Adventure Bus Tour with David Wadelton

Sat September 19, 2015
10am

A bus tour with a difference! Two exhibitions and a guided commentary from artist and social documenter, David Wadelton.

For all the northerners, the bus will pick you up at Bundoora Homestead at 10am, and travel directly to Ten Cubed in Glen Iris. For those in the south, you get to linger over your early morning latte and join us at around 11am, in time for morning tea and a walk through the David Wadelton exhibition featuring paintings and photographs from the Ten Cubed collection.

Then at around 11.30am it’s (back) onto the bus as we travel to Northcote. David will don his tour guide’s hat to point our places of interest as we wind our way through the streets of Northcote. It might be a parochial joke that you need to pack lunch if you travel to the “other” side of the river, but we really recommend you do, in case you need a snack on the bus!

We expect to arrive at Bundoora Homestead Art Centre by about 1.30pm. There will be plenty of time to view the Northcote Hysterical Society exhibition, and of course enjoy a lovely cup of tea and a scone.

The bus back to Ten Cubed will depart at around 2.30pm. (Sing-a-long optional!)

Presented by Ten Cubed, Bundoora Homestead Art Centre and David Wadelton.
