The Darebin Art Prize is a biennial multi-medium award for excellence in contemporary visual art.
It is open to Australian citizens or permanent residents residing primarily in Australia.
It is an acquisitive award. All visual art forms are welcome.

I’m having trouble paying - it isn’t working. What can I do?
Unfortunately sometimes the payment system doesn’t always work. If the payment didn’t work for you but you have submitted your application, you will receive an invoice and your entry will definitely be considered, so long as you pay this invoice by the date specified.
Are there any size restrictions?
No. Works just need to fit through a standard single door. We expect artists to appreciate it is a group show so there might be some raised eyebrows if an artist were to propose a work requiring 50sqm.
My work needs to be pinned to a wall. Is that possible?
We have to use 3M/ magnets rather than pins as we’re a heritage listed building and unfortunately we can’t pin directly in to the walls.
What media is allowed?
We’re inviting a range of media including: painting, sculpture, video, ceramic, installation, drawing, printmaking, photography, craft, etc…
Do I have to live in Darebin’s municipality to enter?
The Prize is open to artists across Australia.
