Established in 1997, DLAP, is a biennial exhibition dedicated to supporting and promoting contemporary visual artists and arts practices across Victoria. Presented by the City of Darebin and La Trobe University, DLAP 09 offers three awards:
- $10,000 for ‘best work on show’, acquired for the La Trobe University Art Collection
- $3,000 for the ‘best work by an emerging artist’ acquired for the City of Darebin Art Collection
- $500 people’s choice award is voted for by visitors to the exhibition
