Charles Nodrum is one of Australia’s most recognised art dealers and collectors and an enthusiastic support of the Arts. Since the early 1980’s his gallery in Richmond has developed a reputation for presenting the work of leading Australian and International artists. Since the early 1970’s Nodrum has also been an avid collector, building a collection that encapsulates his personal interest and passion for the abstract and alternative art movements
This exhibition brings together a selection of works which highlight this passion as well as the diversity of media and breadth of style inherent in his collection. Taking as a focus the landscape, it celebrates the rural and the urban and the possibilities in between.
Featured artists include Arthur Boyd, Rupert Bunny, James Gleeson, Jim Henson, Victor Majzner, John Olsen, Deborah Russell and Fred Williams highlighting Nodrum’s personal interest and passion for the abstract and alternative art movements of the period.
