Established in 1992, the Darebin Art Show (DAS) is a biennial exhibition of contemporary visual arts and crafts celebrating the depth and talent of Darebin’s artistic community. The City of Darebin acquires works to the value of $3,500 for its public art collection and also sponsors a $500 People’s Choice Award. The Darebin Art Show is open to all artists who live, work or learn within the boundaries of the municipality. Previous winners include: Eolo Paul Bottaro, Jarrod Atkinson, Ju Yuen Merran Chew, Louise Grant, Phil Harris and John Sheehan.
