DLAP

Presented by the City of Darebin, DLAP is a biennial event dedicated to promoting excellence and innovation in contemporary visual arts practices across Victoria.

DLAP showcases the work of emerging and established artists, providing a public platform for the interpretation of the values, aspirations, diversity and vibrancy of our society and extends an opportunity for the wider community to enhance their cultural experience of the visual arts.

The City of Darebin is committed to fostering an on-going appreciation of Australian contemporary art through their co-sponsorship of the ‘Best Work On Show’ prize of $10,000, ‘Best Emerging Artist’ prize of $3,000 and the $500 People’s Choice Award.

DLAP is open to all Victorian contemporary artists. Previous winners include Mandy Gunn, Irene Wellm, Siri Hayes and Nusra Latif Qureshi.

Application forms for the next prize will be available to download in March 2012.
